"P" Themed Day

We had a jam-packed day participating in 'P' - themed activities. Our first activity was a practical construction challenge. The children had to discuss, plan and construct a carrot car using five to eight materials including: carrot, rubber, paper clip, paper, tooth picks, pencil, rubber band and a knife.

Here are our final products after 20 minutes of construction and problem solving.

Now we are testing our carrot cars to see if they can travel 1 metre without falling apart.

Five out of seven carrot cars were successful and able to stay together. Two cars feel apart before the finish line. Ooops!
After interval we then watched some play performances from two reading groups.

Before lunchtime we had a paper fight against each other....paper war!

 PIZZA...PIZZA...AND MORE PIZZA!

Our last activity of the day was making POPCORN! Of course we couldn't have popcorn without icing-sugar to top it off.
