Maths - Mass/Weight

This week during maths we have been learning about how heavy objects are. We identified classroom objects that were less than 1 kg, about 1 kg and more than 1 kg. We all felt an item that was exactly 1 kg and used this as our benchmark to decide the weight of other objects.

We used our estimation skills to attempt to fill a bag with sand that weighed 1 kg.

When weighed on the scales this bag of sand was 700 grams.

This bag of sand was also 700 grams.

This bag of sand was also 700 grams.

When weighed on the scales this bag of sand was 500 grams.

This bag of sand was 400 grams.
